This page is dedicated to Ashnikko's sophomore studio album, commonly known by the acronym ASH2. This page is currently intended to document all information that Ashnikko posted about her second album.
Background[]
The album began writing in August 2023[1], and began recording possibly in early 2024, after the end of the WEEDKILLER Tour. On interview with Apple Music at the Travis Mill Show shortly after the release of WEEDKILLER, she has revealed she felt the world of that album wasn't really done and she felt she would probably do more music around it - however, she made it clear she didn't knew exactly if she would do so and even said "don't quote me on that".
On February 1, 2024, Ashnikko posted a photo in the studio.[2] Then, on February 4, 2024, Ashnikko posted a story saying that she was listening to demos of her album. In the same stories she says she is planning to release a song in 2024, but she didn't know when.[3]
Later on the 21st of the same month, Ashnikko said on her discord that she was listening to demos. She also talked about being in her hyperpop/metal era, and that her next project would definitely be "demidevil's older sibling" and a "c*nt party girl".
On April 6, 2024, Ash posted on her Twitter that she wrote the most c*nt song of her life.[4] In response to the tweet, a fan asked her to show some of the song, in response, Ashnikko revealed that she planned to hold a little demo listening party on her official discord.[5] On the same day, she posted a video in the studio on her Instagram story.[6]
On April 9, 2024, Ashnikko made an Instagram post with the caption: "sometimes its essential to put on a tiny little skirt that is so itty bitty that it almost shows h*le",[7] Referencing one of the songs on the album.
On April 14, 2024, Ashnikko posted a story saying:[8]
Hope everyone having a nice day. I have written so much music with my pals this month I am sooooooooo heeeheeee excited
On June 17, 2024, at a show at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, Ashnikko spoke again about working on the album, she said that the album will be really cunty and that she was excited to share it with fans.
On June 29, 2024, Ashnikko said on her discord that she intended to release a single later in the summer. She also said that the style of the album was very different from her previous album, that it will be a funny style of music that makes you want to dance with your friends and that she did not intend to make more songs based on a post-apocalyptic world. That same day, she said she intended to post snippets on discord the following month.
On October 29, 2024, Ashnikko and COBRAH performed a song from the album at the Red Rocks show. Before performing the song, Ashnikko said about her new album:[9][10]

It's so little that you can almost see hole. That's kinda the vibe of the whole album. So, you can still wear your high fantasy cosplay, but... hole. Ok, that's what I'm going to be ok, sorry, that was my little preface! | ” |

On December 4, 2024, Ashnikko spoke on Stories about "hundreds of minutes" of new music coming in 2025. The next day, she posted another story saying for fans to prepare for the onslaught of music in the following year.
On January 7, 2024, Ashnikko stated that she was finishing the album via her Instagram stories.[11]

- Although this album is officially considered Ashnikko's second studio album, it can also be considered her spiritual third album as Ashnikko considers DEMIDEVIL to be some sort of debut album, as it was made with the mentality of an album despite being released as a mixtape.
